Small sins

sinword

These small sins

 covered with fragile excuses

That hurt every moment

That I regret with every breath

But they are a part of me

And I feel that

I will be empty without them

These small sins that are

much more closer to me

than my good deeds.

The poem is lovely, but I think you can delete the “But” from “But they are a part of me”. I think it flows better without it.

Sins, misdeeds, mistakes, weaknesses: they are part of this life and of our learning. We try not to repeat them even as we learn from them. Remember, while you and I are the sinners, we are not the sin.
